Smile’s help docs list four places customers can spend points. None of them is the cart. Sway puts redemption in the cart page and the cart drawer, on the free plan.

Live in 24 hours. Every point comes with you.
Migration is free on every plan. We do the work, and your customers see the same balance on day one.
Hour 0
Install Sway
Add Sway from the Shopify App Store. No developer needed.
Hours 1 to 12
We import everything
Every customer and point balance, with your earn rules, rewards and VIP tiers mapped one to one.
Hour 24
Go live
Turn on your widget, loyalty page and cart redemption. Customers keep every point.
After the import
Uninstall Smile
Only once we’ve confirmed your data is in Sway.
Import before you uninstall. Smile deletes all of your loyalty data within 48 hours of uninstalling, so we bring it over first.
Where Smile is ahead
Smile offers three things Sway doesn’t. Here’s each one, and what we do about it.
34 integrations
Smile connects to apps Sway doesn’t yet, including Tapcart for mobile apps, Recharge for subscriptions and Gorgias for support. Sway has 6.
Count the apps you actually use, not the logos. Sway sends every loyalty event to Shopify Flow, which connects to most of the apps in your stack, and we’ll set those workflows up for you. Need a direct integration we don’t have? Request it, and it’s usually live within a couple of days. And Sway never limits how many you connect. Smile allows 1 on its $15 plan and 2 on its $79 plan.
Industry benchmarks
Smile’s $199 Growth plan shows how your program performs against industry benchmarks.
Sway doesn’t offer benchmarks. It shows the revenue your loyalty program drives, with AI reports, free on every plan.
BigCommerce
Smile runs on Shopify and BigCommerce stores.
Sway is built only for Shopify. That focus is why it plugs straight into Shopify store credit, POS, Flow and theme app blocks.
